REGION 8 TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT Hello, present and future FAHN members. My name is Sgt. Mike Pierce. I was recently re-elected as Director of Region 8 of the Florida Association of Hostage Negotiators. I am happy to invite you to the following training opportunity. Members of other regions are invited to participate. You must either be a current member of FAHN, or bring FAHN dues on the day of the class. Who: Crisis/Hostage Negotiators in F.A.H.N. Region 8 (Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie & Indian River Counties). All other regions are invited to participate. When: Friday, December 19, 2008 from 0900-1700 hours Where: Town of Jupiter Community Center 210 Military Trail Jupiter, Florida 33458 What: Jack Maxwell, who has trained CNT teams throughout Florida and the United States, will be putting on an all day seminar on the following topics; Third Party Intermediaries Decision Making Understanding Isolationists Groups Foreign Speaking Individuals Police Officers as Hostages How to Register: The Training Division of your agency should send ONE email to me at HYPERLINK "mailto:mpierce@ircsheriff.org" mpierce@ircsheriff.org listing the names (as they will appear on the certificate) of all participants and stating that they that have been approved by your agency to attend.
